'Ride Into The Sun', one of the Velvet Underground's "lost tracks", was ultimately released on the compilation album Another View. Originally recorded in September 1969, this instrumental version waited 17 years to be officially released. An alternate mix with vocals also exists, and Lou Reed eventually recorded a new version for his 1972 debut solo album. The Velvet Underground - Ride Into The Sun
Acting on a tip from a friend, I checked out Juno a few nights ago and was suitably impressed. Not only is it a clever and engaging film, but I was especially taken with the excellent folksy/twee soundtrack. Belle & Sebastian, The Kinks, Sonic Youth, The Velvet Underground, Cat Power, and Buddy Holly are among the artists featured, and Kimya Dawson contributes a handful of sweet gems to provide consistency. A few cuts are available below, but I highly recommend picking up the entire album.

One of my favourite songs of all time is the Velvet Underground's 'Femme Fatale'. Lately I've been rocking the recently discovered acetate pressing of the original Scepter Studio recording sessions for The Velvet Underground and Nico. The sound quality is actually decent, and I'm hooked on the fuller backing vocals and more prominent percussion.
