New Radio Dept. and more.

Here are some playlist boosters from across the board, highlighted by The Radio Dept.'s new song from their "Never Follow Suit" single. Other songs below from accomplished producer Ski Beatz's 24 Hour Karate School album, as well as lesser known Newcastle trio Polarsets. I threw in The Vaccines' "Wreckin' Bar" as well, it deserves all the attention it's been getting. Hard to get enough of it clocking in at just 1:25.

The Radio Dept. - On Your Side

Ski Beatz - Prowler 2 feat. Jean Grae, Jay Electronica, Joell Ortiz & Mos Def
Polarsets - Leave Argentina
Active Child - Wilderness
Deerhunter - Helicopter (Diplo & Lunice Remix)
Bag Raiders - Way Back Home
The Vaccines - Wreckin' Bar (Ra Ra Ra)

Music for Distracted Drivers Everywhere

As seen in Poole Park, Dorset.

First post in a while, I've been globetrotting since mid January. Saw Handsome Furs in Frankfurt, Soulwax's 2 Many DJs in Manchester, dreadful Chicks on Speed set at Fabric in London, and some South Indian men playing traditional song to hippies and yuppies alike on the beaches of the Arabian Sea. Neato.

Here are some songs that have had more play riding the rails in India and Europe. They won't do shit for your parking ability.

Black Lips feat. GZA - The Drop I Hold
Glasser - Glad (Dolorean Remix)
Bag Raiders - Shooting Stars
Phosphorescent - Wolves
Damn Arms - Destination Pt. II
Lower Heaven - Knife
Simian Mobile Disco feat. Chris Keating (Yeasayer) - Audacity of Huge
(Amazingly random lyrics - Bill Murray and Peter Tosh namechecked??)

BTA Mixtapetacular

Continuing with the theme of nostalgic mixtaping, BTA are happy to deliver another one, this time in the theme of the world's most infamous and not to mention hilariously-mustached plumber. For me, Mario 2 is still far too overlooked in the mushroom kingdom's legacy. Dinosaur bosses spitting eggs, uprooting various bitter-tasting root vegetables, digging through sandy labyrinths in four simple directions, this game had it all. What better way to relive 1988's greatest achievement than to shimmy down memory lane to some hip-hop and electronic shit that surely draws inspiration from our beloved 8-bit days.

Tracklist:
Cadence Weapon - "Oliver Square"
DJ BC - "Hot and Dumb" (included because of the line "Nickelback should've won a Grammy," 'nuff said)
Kavinsky - "Testarossa Overdrive (Sebastian Remix)"
Space Cowboy - "Running Away (MSTRKRFT Remix)"
Bag Raiders - "Punch Reprise"
The Whip - "Divebomb"

BTA: Uprooting Vegetables, The Mixtape [YSI]
